Convert SVG to PNG

Turn a scalable SVG into a PNG with real width and height for tools that only accept raster images.

Why SVG fails in some upload boxes

SVG is vector markup. Many email clients, older CMS fields, and app icon pipelines only accept PNG or JPG. The artwork is fine; the container is rejected.

SVG to PNG draws the vectors into pixels at a size you choose so those boxes accept the file.

App stores, favicon pipelines, and many no-code site builders are in the refuse-SVG club. PNG is the ticket in.

Many social uploaders, print shops, and CMS fields accept PNG or JPG only. SVG is a drawing description, not a fixed grid of pixels, so those systems refuse it even when the art looks fine in a browser.

Converting to PNG freezes the artwork at a pixel size you choose. Pick that size for the destination: a favicon needs far fewer pixels than a poster.

Pick the pixel size on purpose

A 64-pixel export looks sharp as a favicon and soft as a poster header. Decide the largest place the PNG will appear, then export at least that wide.

Exporting huge “just in case” PNGs wastes bytes. Prefer one size per use—icon, navbar, and hero—over a single oversized dump.

Export @1x and @2x sizes when a mobile UI needs sharp icons on dense screens. Two PNGs from one SVG beat one blurry stretch.

Convert SVG to PNG: How to convert here

Upload the SVG. Set the output dimensions when the tool asks. Start the conversion and download the PNG.

Place the PNG on both light and dark previews. Thin strokes that looked fine as vectors can vanish at small pixel sizes.

If strokes look thicker than the SVG preview, you hit a rounding limit at tiny sizes. Simplify the mark for icon use.

Convert SVG to PNG: Transparency and backgrounds

PNG can keep a transparent backdrop, which suits logos that sit on varied page colors. Confirm alpha survived if the SVG used clear regions.

If a target requires a flat white plate, composite after export or choose a JPG path only when alpha is unnecessary.

Dark-mode sites need a PNG that still reads on dark grounds—or a second export with adjusted fills.

Keep the SVG as master

Every new size should come from the SVG again, not from enlarging a small PNG. Vectors stay sharp; upscaled rasters do not.

Store the SVG in version control. Treat PNGs as disposable build outputs.

Never edit the PNG and call it the new master. Change the SVG, then re-export.

Convert SVG to PNG: Free use and cleanup

SVG to PNG is free on Vidzilla within the tools quota for image jobs. Processed files are removed after download.

For web delivery after rasterizing, consider PNG to WEBP when the platform accepts WEBP.

After export, run PNG to WEBP for production pages that accept WEBP, and keep PNG for stubborn upload fields.

Hand designers a short size chart: 32, 64, 128, 256, and 512. Most product UI needs fall on those rungs without inventing one-off widths.

When marketing asks for a huge billboard raster, export from SVG at the print pixel width once. Do not chain PNG enlargements.

Keep this tab open until the browser finishes writing the file for svg to png. A prepared file only waits a short time before it expires from the temporary store.

Free use on Vidzilla covers three downloads a day and files up to 150 MB on video tools unless a converter page states its own quota. Pro raises those limits and removes advertising where ads appear.

After the file for svg to png lands, open it once in the player or viewer you plan to use. Confirm picture, sound, pages, or image size before you delete the source or close this tab.

Rights stay with the people who created the media you touch on svg to png. Saving a copy for personal reference does not grant permission to republish, sell, or claim the work as your own.

If Analyze returns an empty list on svg to png, open the address in a private window while signed out. Private, geo-blocked, and removed pages produce empty lists here for the same reason they refuse ordinary visitors.

Name the downloaded file with a clear title and date so a folder of saves from svg to png stays searchable. Default browser names are easy to overwrite on the next save.

When two quality rows look similar, prefer the smaller file that still meets how you will watch or print. Spending the free ceiling on detail you will never display wastes a daily download.

Questions about SVG to PNG

What size should I export?

Match the largest on-screen width you need. Re-export from SVG for other sizes. On svg to png, run Analyze again if a transfer stalls, then choose a row whose size fits free use before you press Download file.

Does PNG keep transparency?

Yes when the graphic and export path preserve alpha. Check on a contrasting backdrop.

Can I enlarge a small PNG later?

You can stretch it, but edges soften. Export again from the SVG instead.

Why convert at all if SVG scales?

Many upload fields and apps refuse SVG. PNG is the compatible raster they accept.

Is conversion free?

Yes. SVG to PNG conversion is free within Vidzilla’s published tools quota and size limits. Download the PNG and check sharpness at the size you chose before discarding the SVG.

Do you keep my SVG?

No. Files are removed after the download is ready.
