What a start-time parameter is for
Share links sometimes include a timestamp so a browser player jumps into the middle of a video. That is a playback instruction for the page, not a trim instruction for a downloader.
When you paste that full address here, Analyze still reads the whole published media file. The file you download begins at the natural start of that encoding. The t= flag only positioned the web player for the person who clicked share.
People often expect the saved file to start mid-clip because the browser did. Those are different jobs. Playback position is temporary. A downloaded file is a full published encode unless you trim it yourself afterward.
Leave the parameter in place
You do not need to strip &t= or #t= before Analyze. The host usually still identifies the same video. Removing other query parts by guesswork can break the id; leave the string intact unless you know a messenger added junk characters.
If you want a clip that starts mid-way, trim the file in an editor after it lands. This page does not cut a new segment from a timestamp. Download the full row, then cut in your own tools.
Messengers sometimes wrap the URL in tracking parameters plus a timestamp. Prefer copying from the address bar after the player loads rather than from a mangled chat preview.

Press Download file and keep the tab open until the transfer finishes. A prepared file sits behind a short timer. The copy lands in your browser's download location.
Look at the box after you paste. The address should be one continuous https string that opens a single video when you visit it yourself. Strip spaces and trailing punctuation the messenger added, then press Analyze once.
Timestamps on live archives
Some hosts attach timestamps to archives of long streams. The parameter still only positions the player. The downloadable rows remain full encodings of what the page publishes for that video id.
A three-hour stream with a deep link to hour two still downloads as the published archive file when that archive is offered as one object. If the host only publishes short highlights as separate pages, open the highlight you want and paste that page’s address.
Do not expect Analyze to invent a new file that starts at the timestamp. If you need a short segment, download the available row and trim locally.
When the timestamp link returns empty
An empty list means the underlying video is private, deleted, or not a single public file. Open the link in a private window. If the player never starts, Analyze cannot invent a file.
A playlist address with an extra timestamp is still a playlist. Open one video and copy that video's address. Channel and search URLs fail for the same reason: many items, no single file.
If the timestamp link works in your account but fails logged out, the page is gated. This tool has no account on that host, so the empty list is correct.
Rights when the visitor already holds a link
Having a link in hand means you can ask this page to list published files. It does not mean every file behind that link is yours to republish.
Paste addresses for videos you are entitled to keep. Channel pages, playlists, and search results have no single file and correctly fail. Private shares that open only after sign-in stay empty here because our servers carry no account.
Ownership stays with the rights holder after Download file finishes. Vidzilla is not affiliated with the sites whose pages you paste and cannot grant permission for someone else’s work.
Trimming after download instead of trusting t=
When a colleague shared a link that jumps to a quote at 12:40, save the full file, then trim in a video editor or a trim tool if you only need that moment. The shared timestamp was a courtesy for watching, not a cut list for storage.
Keeping the full file is better when you may need context before or after the quote. Trimming early and deleting the master is how context disappears from group archives.
Free use still allows three downloads a day and 150 MB per file. Choose a row that fits the free ceiling if you are only keeping a short trimmed clip afterward; you do not need the heaviest encode for a thirty-second quote.

No. The saved file starts at the beginning of the published encoding. The t= flag only positions the web player.
Should I delete &t= before pasting?
You can leave it. The same video is identified either way. Do not delete other parameters unless you know they are junk added by a messenger.
