What a Shopify product page carries
A product page holds a gallery: several photographs, sometimes a short clip, plus variant swatches. Merchants and freelancers often need those photos offline for catalogs, wholesale sheets, or redesign mockups.
Vidzilla reads the public product URL and lists media the storefront is serving. You collect published files, not screenshots of the browser chrome.
Collection pages and search grids are not one product. Use the individual product URL.
Thumbnails versus full gallery files
Theme thumbnails exist so pages load quickly. They fall apart in print and zoom. The useful download is the large gallery asset behind the main viewer.
Analyze reports those larger published files when the theme exposes them. Pick the row that matches the photo you need.
If a theme only exposes tiny CDN derivatives publicly, the inventory cannot invent a RAW studio master the merchant never published.
How to copy the product URL
Open the product, copy the address from the browser bar, paste into Vidzilla, and run Analyze.
Download each image you need. Confirm dimensions by opening the file once before you delete any other copy.
Passworded storefronts and draft products are unreachable without access. Publish or unlock the product first.
- Use /products/… URLs, not collection grids.
- Prefer full gallery assets over theme thumbnails.
- Save while the product is still published.
Variants, apps, and third-party galleries
Variant pickers sometimes swap images. Make sure the variant you care about is selected when you copy the URL if the address encodes that state.
Third-party lookbook apps can host images off the main product JSON. If Analyze misses an app-only gallery, open the image directly and use a general image URL path.
Short product clips belong on a video download path when you need motion instead of stills.
Rights for merchants and freelancers
If you own the store, this is a convenience backup of what the theme already shows customers.
If you are a freelancer, confirm you have permission to pull client assets. Published storefront photos are still someone’s commercial work.
Do not scrape a competitor’s entire catalog for resale imagery. That is a policy and copyright problem, not a feature.
Free use on Vidzilla
Shopify image download is free within tool limits. Prepared files expire; keep browser downloads organized by SKU.
Success is a sharp product photo on disk, not a theme thumbnail.
Strip metadata before sharing shots taken on phones that embed GPS.
Empty results and sold-out products
Sold-out products may still show images, or they may redirect. If the page no longer serves media, Analyze returns empty.
Region-locked storefronts and coming-soon pages without images behave the same way.
Try the product in a private window. If images fail there, fix the storefront URL before pasting again.
Before you close this Download product images from a Shopify page tab, open the saved file on your device and confirm it matches the source you intended to keep for the long term.
Rename the download into a project folder with a clear date and topic so cleanup tools do not treat it as temporary browser junk later.
If a step failed, fix the input type, format, or URL first rather than repeating the same broken upload or paste and expecting a different result.
Vidzilla removes working server copies after processing on the ordinary path; the lasting result is always the file your browser wrote to disk.
Free tool use stays within published daily counts and size limits; Pro raises those limits when you regularly need more headroom for larger jobs.
Keep an original master beside any converted, compressed, or stripped copy until every destination you care about accepts the new file.
On a phone, leave this tab in the foreground until the download indicator finishes writing, then move the file out of temporary download storage.
On a desktop, spot-check duration, page count, resolution, or loudness once in a second app before you delete the source copy.
When sharing the result, send only the cleaned or converted copy—not a mixed folder of half-finished exports that confuse the next person.
If Analyze or conversion returns empty, the input is private, unsupported, damaged, or the wrong type; confirm it opens locally in another program first.
Batch work goes faster when you name files with dates, SKUs, or topics before you start the next item so the folder stays searchable.
Success means bytes on disk that open correctly for the job, not a progress spinner that never produced a downloadable file.
If a portal rejects the output for size, compress or split after you confirm quality—not before you have inspected a readable copy.
Questions about Shopify image download
Can I grab every gallery photo?
Download each listed row you need. Confirm each file before the next save.
Why are my files small?

Is this free?
Yes within Vidzilla limits. Keep files on your device.
Can I download product video?
When a clip is published and listed, use the video row or a video downloader path for motion files.
Draft products?
Drafts are not public. Publish or use Shopify admin exports for unpublished media.
