Save an MP4 from a video URL
You asked for MP4. Vidzilla lists the files the page already publishes. It does not re-encode a different container into MP4.

MP4 is a label on a published file
When a source publishes an MP4 encoding, the results list shows that label on the row. Choosing that row downloads those bytes. Nothing in the middle rewrites the file into another format.
If every row says WEBM or another container, that is what the page serves. You can still download a real file. Renaming the extension to .mp4 does not turn WEBM data into MP4. Players will still see the original container.
This page exists for people who search for video URL to MP4 and need a clear answer: take the MP4 row when it exists; otherwise take what the host published or convert offline with your own tools.
How to aim for MP4 on purpose
Paste the video address into the box and press Analyze. Scan the format column before you chase the highest resolution. Prefer an MP4 row that also fits free use when you are not on Pro.
Free use allows three downloads a day and 150 MB per file. If MP4 appears only on a row above 150 MB, pick a smaller MP4 when one exists, or use Pro to raise the ceiling and remove ads. The daily count returns at midnight UTC.
Keep the tab open until the transfer finishes. A prepared file sits behind a short timer. When the save completes, open the file in your player and confirm picture and sound both work.
When picture and sound are separate rows
Some hosts list picture-only and audio-only rows. Neither row alone is a finished movie even if one of them says MP4. Prefer a combined row when the list offers one and you want a single file that plays with sound.
This page does not mux separate rows together. If you only see split streams, download what you need for offline work elsewhere, or look for another published combined encoding on the same page.
Always read the size next to the row. A combined 1080p MP4 can sit well over the free 150 MB limit while a lower rung still fits.
Why people still prefer MP4 when it is offered
Phones, laptops, and many TVs open MP4 without extra codec packs. When the ladder offers several containers, MP4 is the practical everyday choice for offline playback and for dropping a clip into common editors.
That preference does not change what the source published. Empty lists mean the address is not a single public video page, or access is blocked. An MP4 label on a row does not change the license attached to the source page.
Download files you are entitled to keep. Redistribution stays with the rights holder. Personal playback on your device is the usual reason people paste a URL here.
When you must convert after the download
If you need MP4 and the source only published WEBM, download the WEBM and convert with offline tools you trust. That conversion is outside this page on purpose. Vidzilla’s job is to fetch the published file, not to pretend a different container arrived.
After a successful MP4 save, rename the file if the default name is opaque. Keep the .mp4 extension so players and editors recognize it. Store the address you used in a note if you may need the same clip again later.
Finishing the transfer cleanly
After Analyze lists rows, pick one by format, resolution, and size, then press Download file. Leave the tab open until the browser finishes writing to disk. Closing early can leave an incomplete file.
Pro removes the three-download daily limit, removes the 150 MB ceiling, and removes advertising. The meaning of the MP4 label does not change on Pro: you still receive the published encoding.
If Analyze returns nothing, open the address in your browser. Sign-in walls, expired transfers, and non-video pages produce empty lists for a reason.
Rename the finished file if the default name is a long opaque string. Keep the extension so players recognize the container. A short project name and date in the filename saves time when you search Downloads later.
Licensing, empty results, and related tools
An MP4 row is a container choice among published encodings. Choosing MP4 does not grant redistribution rights. Keep the file for personal playback unless the rights holder said otherwise.
If your search was really about any video link rather than the MP4 label, start from the main video downloader. Turning a finished MP4 into a short looping GIF is a different job on the MP4 to GIF page.
- Prefer an MP4 row when the list includes one.
- Do not rename .webm to .mp4 and expect it to become MP4.
- Free use: three downloads a day, 150 MB per file.
- Pro removes those limits and removes ads.
- Pick a combined picture-plus-sound row when you need one playable file.
Questions about video URL to MP4
Does Vidzilla convert WEBM to MP4?
No. You receive the published file. Choose an MP4 row when the list includes one. Convert offline if you must change containers.
Why is there no MP4 row?
The source did not publish an MP4 encoding for that page. The list mirrors what the host offers.
Can I rename .webm to .mp4?
No. That does not change the container. Players still see WEBM data inside the file.
I need picture and sound in one MP4. Which row?
Pick a combined row labelled MP4 when available. Separate audio and video rows are not joined here.
What are the free limits?
Three downloads a day and 150 MB per file on free use. Pro removes those limits and removes ads. The MP4 label still means the published container, not a conversion.
Where does the MP4 land?
In your browser download location on that device. Keep the tab open until the transfer finishes.
