Collect links before you paste
When several people drop video links in one chat, copy them into a notes file first. Paste into Vidzilla one address at a time. The box does not accept a list.
Mark which links you already opened so you do not analyze the same post twice and waste time. A notes list also survives if the chat scrolls away while you work.
Order the list by priority before you start. The free daily budget is three completed downloads, not three per conversation. Decide which clips matter before you press Download file.
Three free downloads as a shared budget
Free use allows three completed downloads a day and 150 MB per file. That budget is yours for the day across all chats, not three per conversation. Decide which videos are worth a slot before you press Download file.
Analyze does not spend a slot. Completing a download does. Pro raises the daily count and the size ceiling and removes ads. If the pile is longer than three, finish the highest priority items first or upgrade before you start.
Midnight UTC resets the free count. Planning a long pile for late evening can leave you with zero slots mid-list. Start earlier or upgrade if the batch cannot wait.
Naming files so the pile stays clear
Default filenames from different hosts can collide. Rename each file as soon as it lands, using a short label from the chat or the sender's name, before you start the next download.
Keep the extension intact when you rename. A clear name is the only reliable way to match a file back to a chat message later in the day.
Folders help when the pile is large. A folder named with the chat date keeps tonight’s saves separate from last week’s. Sorting by date modified also works if you rename consistently.
One empty link in the pile
Group chats mix public clips with private or deleted posts. When one address returns empty, move to the next link. Do not burn retries on a gated post while other public links wait.
Open a doubtful link in a private window first. If it asks you to sign in, it will not yield a file here either. Channel pages and playlists also return empty; open one watch page per video.
Note the failed URL in your list so you do not paste it again tomorrow. Empty results on private posts are expected, not a reason to abandon the rest of the pile.
Keeping tabs open through each transfer
Finish one Download file fully before starting the next. A prepared file sits behind a short timer. Leaving two transfers half-finished on a phone is how partial files accumulate.
Confirm each file opens before you spend the next free slot. A silent or truncated file should be replaced immediately while you still remember which link produced it.
On mobile, stay on Wi-Fi for large rows and keep the screen awake until each transfer completes. Suspending the browser mid-transfer leaves incomplete downloads in the list.
Rights across a chat pile
Each link has its own owner. Saving a batch does not grant rights to redistribute the set. Treat every file as separately owned material.
Keep finished files for personal viewing unless the source allows more. Forwarding a zip of chat saves into another group does not become lawful because you downloaded them through this tool.

Working through a long evening pile
When the chat drops ten links and you have three free slots, save the three you will actually watch offline. Leave the rest as bookmarks or notes for tomorrow’s reset or for Pro. A notes file with unchecked boxes is enough; you do not need a spreadsheet for a chat pile.
If several people in the same household share a network, remember the free count is per browser usage pattern on the site, not per chat room. Coordinate so two people do not burn six slots on the same three clips. One person can Analyze and list sizes while another waits to download the keepers.
After the session, glance at the download folder once. Rename stragglers, delete partials, and check that the three keepers open. That five-minute cleanup prevents a messy folder the next morning and makes it obvious which chat links still need a slot tomorrow.
