Save music you hold the rights to

Start with this, because it decides whether the rest of the page is any use to you. Music on this platform belongs to the artists and labels who released it. Your own uploads are yours to keep. A release the artist has explicitly offered for free distribution is yours within the terms they set. Everything else stays with the rights holder, and downloading it does not change who owns it.

Vidzilla has no arrangement with Audiomack and cannot grant permission on any artist's behalf. Independent musicians use this platform to build an audience and earn from plays, and taking a copy of a release you have no right to costs them directly. If you want a track and you are not the rights holder, buy it or ask.

Sound with no picture attached

This is a music platform, so the results list gives you an audio row and no video rows. That is what the page publishes. The cover art beside the player is a separate image the site displays around the track, and it does not travel inside the audio file you save.

One practical consequence is that the saved file may arrive with no title, artist, or artwork written into it, depending on what the uploader supplied. Fill those in with any music player that edits tags, or rename the file, so it is still identifiable when it is sitting in a folder with two hundred others.

Track pages, album pages, and playlists

The address you paste has to point at one piece of audio. Three kinds of address on this site look similar and behave differently.

Open the individual track first in every case. On a computer, click the track title so it opens on its own page and copy the address from the bar. In the app, use the share control on that track and choose the option that copies a link.

• A song address names one track and produces one audio row. This is the one that works.
• An album or mixtape address names a release holding many tracks, so there is no single file behind it.
• A playlist or an artist profile address covers a collection someone assembled, which has no one file either.

Releases the uploader set to play only

Uploaders choose how each release is served. Some make the audio available to save. Others publish a release for listening on the platform and nothing more, which is a normal decision for a track that is also on sale elsewhere or is being promoted before a full launch.

When a release is set that way, the result comes back empty. Nothing on this page overrides the choice the uploader made, and an empty list there is the correct answer. The same applies to a release the artist has taken down and to a track that was removed after a rights claim.

File size, the daily allowance, and long mixes

A single song is a small file and sits comfortably under the 150 MB ceiling that applies to one file on a free account. Length is what changes that. A DJ mix or a live set running an hour or more carries far more audio data, and a long enough set passes the ceiling.

The other number is the count. A free account covers 3 downloads per day, so building a library one track at a time takes several days. Pro lifts that count, lifts the size ceiling, and takes the advertising away.

Where the saved track ends up

Press Download file on the single audio row. Our servers prepare the track before it moves to your device, and the prepared copy expires on a short timer, so start the transfer while the page is open in front of you.

On a desktop the track lands in your Downloads folder. On a phone it goes to device storage or the Files app, depending on which browser you used. From there any music player on the device can open it, and it plays with no connection, which is the reason to keep a copy at all.
