SoundCloud downloader for one track at a time
SoundCloud lets the uploader decide, per track, whether listeners may keep a file. Paste the track page here and Vidzilla reports only what that setting publishes.

The download switch lives on the track, not on your paste
When an artist or label uploads to SoundCloud, the platform asks whether other people may download a copy. That choice is stored on the track itself. One release on an account can be open while the next release from the same account is locked to streaming. The address you paste does not show that setting in plain text, so two links that look alike can produce different results on this page.
Vidzilla does not invent a file when the uploader refused one. Analyze reads the track page, lists the audio file when the switch is open, and returns an empty list when the switch is closed. That empty list is the correct answer for a stream-only upload, not a broken tool. Commercial singles and label catalogues are often stream-only; free promos, stems, DJ tools, and some podcast episodes are more often left open.
Before you spend a free download, open the SoundCloud page in your own browser and look under the waveform. An open track usually shows a download control there. A stream-only track plays in the browser and offers no file. Matching that preview to the results list here saves wasted attempts.
What an open track returns in the results list
An open track publishes a real audio file with a size in megabytes. The results row names that file. There is no picture track, so you are saving sound only. Formats vary by how the artist encoded the upload; the row reflects the published file rather than a conversion you did not ask for.
Paste the full track address from the browser bar or from SoundCloud’s share control while you are viewing that one waveform and title. After Analyze finishes, read the size figure before you click Download. Short songs usually sit well under the free ceiling. Hour-plus recordings need a careful look at that number.
Free use allows three downloads per day, resetting at midnight UTC. Each completed file subtracts one from the count, whether the file is four minutes or two hours. Keep this tab open until the transfer finishes; prepared files expire on a short timer if you leave mid-transfer.
Stream-only uploads and why the list stays empty
A stream-only track is published for playback inside SoundCloud’s player. The host does not attach a downloadable media file for third-party tools to list. When you paste that address here, Analyze finishes and the results area stays empty. Retrying the same address will not create a file the artist did not publish.
If you need that recording, buy it from the artist, the label, or the store they link. Saving a stream by other means is outside what this page does. Vidzilla’s job is to report the published download when one exists, and to stay quiet when the page only streams.
Long DJ sets and the 150 MB free ceiling
SoundCloud hosts many recorded sets that run an hour, two hours, or longer. Audio file size grows with runtime at a given quality. A two-hour set at the same bitrate as a thirty-minute set is roughly four times as large. Free use refuses any single file over 150 MB. Long open sets can cross that line even when the artist allowed downloads.
The results row prints the real size before you commit. If the figure is over 150 MB on free use, Pro removes the per-file ceiling along with the daily count and advertising. Do not guess from runtime alone; bitrates differ between uploads, so the printed megabytes are the only number that matters for the free gate.
A long set still counts as one download against the free daily total. The limit is per file, not per minute of audio.
Track pages versus profiles, playlists, and search
An artist profile lists many uploads. A playlist groups several tracks. A search results page lists matches. None of those pages is a single media file. Pasting them here produces no useful row because there is nothing singular to list.
Open the individual track until the page shows one title and one waveform. Copy that address. If someone sent you a playlist link, open the track you want inside the playlist and copy the track URL from the bar after the player focuses on that item.
Private or unlisted tracks that your browser cannot play without a special invite will not produce a public file here either. You need the same access the track owner granted to listeners.
Rights on the recording after it is on your disk
The file on your device is a copy of what the uploader published for download. Many DJ sets remix other people’s records. The uploader holds rights in their mix; the underlying tracks still belong to their owners. Personal offline listening is not the same as republishing, selling, or claiming the set as your own release.
Buy official releases when you want the commercial track. Use this page for open promotional files and for sets the artist explicitly left downloadable. If a track is stream-only, respect that choice and use the purchase path the artist provides.
How to run a SoundCloud download on Vidzilla
Confirm the SoundCloud page shows one track and, if you can see it, a download control under the waveform. Copy the full https address. Paste it into the box on this page and run Analyze. When a row appears, check the size against your free or Pro limits, then click Download and wait for the file to finish writing to your device.
If the list is empty, treat it as a stream-only or inaccessible track. Switch to a different open track or buy the release. Do not paste the same closed address repeatedly expecting a different outcome.
SoundCloud download questions
Why does one track from an artist work and the next return nothing?
Download permission is set per track. The same account can leave one upload open for copying and keep another set to streaming only. Empty results mean the second track did not publish a file.
How can I tell before pasting whether a track is open?
On the SoundCloud page, look under the waveform. Open tracks usually show a download control. Stream-only tracks play but offer no file control.
Is the saved result video or audio?
Audio only. SoundCloud publishes sound recordings, so the row you download has no picture track.
Can I paste a playlist or artist profile?
No. Those pages list many items and hold no single file. Open one track until one waveform is showing, then copy that address.
Will a two-hour DJ set fit free use?
Only if the published file is 150 MB or less. Long sets often exceed that. Read the size on the results row before downloading. Pro removes the free size ceiling.
Does a long set cost more than one free download?
No. The daily count is per completed file, not per minute. One long set subtracts one download the same way a short single does.
