Why HEIC stalls outside Apple devices
iPhones save High Efficiency Image files by default to save space on the camera roll. Many Windows apps, older browsers, and web forms still expect JPG or PNG and show a blank thumbnail or refuse the upload with a vague error. That refusal is a format mismatch, not a broken photo.
