Free video download from a link

Free use is real and limited. This page explains how to paste a link, spend the three daily downloads wisely, and finish with a file on your device.

Files go straight to your device.

What free use includes

On Vidzilla free use, you can paste a public video page address, press Analyze, and download without creating an account for ordinary public pages. The free meter allows three downloads per day. Each file has a 150 MB ceiling. Advertising appears around the tool pages.

Pro removes the daily count, removes the 150 MB ceiling, and removes those ads. Free use is enough when you save a few clips a day. Pro fits people who archive larger files or work through many links in one sitting.

A download means a Download file press that delivers bytes. Analyzing alone does not spend a slot. Starting a download and closing the tab early can still spend the attempt without leaving a useful file, so stay until the browser finishes.

The free meter is shared across video download tools on the site. Two saves on one page and one save on another finish the daily budget.

Paste a clean link before you spend a slot

Copy the watch address for one video. Channel pages, search pages, and homepages are not single-file targets. Open the item you want, then copy.

Clean brackets, trailing periods, and line breaks from messengers and PDFs. A broken paste returns an empty list and wastes time, even though Analyze itself does not spend a download slot.

Short links usually work after redirects. If they fail, open them in your browser, copy the final address, and paste that instead.

When a document prints a truncated address across two lines, close the gap before Analyze. One missing character in a short code points at a different page rather than showing a clear error.

Reading sizes against the 150 MB ceiling

After Analyze, every row shows a size in megabytes. On free use, pick a row at or under 150 MB. Taller encodings of long videos often sit above that line. Choosing a mid-height row is the usual fix when you want to stay free.

Pro is the path when you need the largest published file and it is over 150 MB. Do not confuse “Analyze worked” with “free download will accept that row.” The ceiling applies at download time.

Short clips often fit easily. Lectures, concerts, and high-height uploads are the rows that hit the ceiling first.

Two rows at the same height can differ in bitrate. The larger megabyte figure usually keeps more detail. Stay under 150 MB on free use even when a slightly larger twin looks tempting.

  • Confirm the title before you press Download file.
  • Prefer combined picture-and-sound rows for offline watching.
  • Keep the tab open until the transfer completes.

Spending the three daily downloads

The three free downloads reset at midnight UTC. Plan which three links matter if you are sorting a folder of references. Taking a wrong clip first wastes a slot you may want later the same day.

Galleries and multi-item posts count once per Download file press. Five slides means five presses if you want all five. Free use is a poor fit for emptying large galleries in one day.

When you need more than three successful saves, Pro removes the daily count. Waiting until tomorrow is the free alternative.

If a transfer fails because you closed the tab early, treat that as a spent attempt and be careful with the remaining slots.

Links that will not yield a free file

Private, rental, members-only, and sign-in pages do not expose a public file. Analyze returns an empty list. That result does not spend a download slot, but it also does not produce a video.

Removed uploads and expired share links behave the same way. Open the link in your own browser first when you are unsure whether the page still plays.

Corporate networks that block the host will block the fetch. Try a network that can open the page only when you already have the right to access that media.

Playlist and channel addresses still fail for the same reason on free use as on Pro: they are not single video pages.

Finishing on phone or computer

The file lands in the browser’s download location. On a computer that is usually Downloads. On a phone it is device storage or the Files app, depending on the browser.

Large free-tier rows still need a stable connection. Prefer Wi-Fi when the size is close to 150 MB. Rename the file after it lands so tomorrow’s free saves are easy to tell apart.

Rights still apply. Free does not mean unrestricted redistribution. Keep material you own or are allowed to store.

You can copy a link on a phone and finish the free download on a computer with more disk space. Only the address needs to move between devices.

When to open the main downloader or Pro

The main video downloader page is the same paste box with broader host-agnostic copy. This page focuses on the free meter: three per day, 150 MB, ads on free use.

If you repeatedly hit the ceiling or burn three slots before noon, Pro is the straight fix. It removes limits and ads rather than asking you to wait for midnight UTC.

For host-specific help, use pages such as YouTube link downloader or TikTok downloader after you know which app the link came from.

Free-video-downloader covers the same limits with overview wording. Use whichever page you bookmarked; the meter is shared.

Questions about free link downloads

Does Analyze use one of my three downloads?

No. The meter counts Download file presses that deliver a file, not Analyze alone.

What is the free file size limit?

150 MB per file. Pick a smaller row or use Pro for larger encodings.

When do my three downloads refresh?

The free count of three downloads returns at midnight UTC. Until then, further Download file presses on free use are blocked once the three slots are spent.

Do I need an account for free use?

No account is required for ordinary public pages. Ads appear on free use; Pro removes them.

Why did Download fail after Analyze showed a large row?

That row is over the free 150 MB ceiling. Choose a smaller encoding or upgrade to Pro.

Can I download a private link on free use?

No. Private and login-only pages do not expose a public file, on free or Pro.
