Copy the address of one post
Inside the app, open the video so it fills the screen, tap the share arrow on the right-hand side, and choose Copy link from the share sheet. That hands you the address of that one post. On the web version, open the video at tiktok.com and copy the whole address out of your browser's address bar. Either route produces the same thing.
An address that stops at an account name is a profile. A profile holds every video that person has posted and no single file, so pasting it returns nothing. Tap into the video first, then share.
What the results list holds for a short vertical video
Press Analyze and Vidzilla reads the post the way a browser does, then lists the video files it is serving. A TikTok post is one short vertical clip, so the list is short as well, often one or two rows rather than the long ladder of resolutions a long-form site returns.
Each row carries a resolution and a size in megabytes. When two rows share a resolution, the larger file was encoded at a higher bitrate and holds detail better if you plan to cut it into something else. Press Download file on the row you want and keep this tab open while the transfer runs.
Why file size is rarely the obstacle here
These clips run for seconds, not hours, and they are encoded for a phone screen. A typical post lands in single-digit or low double-digit megabytes, well under the ceiling that applies to free use. The size warning that stops a feature-length download before it starts is something most people never meet on this page.
Downloading is free, there is no email address to hand over, and there is no limit on how many posts you save in a row. Pro raises the size ceiling and removes advertising, which matters more on pages about long video than it does here.
Slideshow posts are a different kind of post
Some posts are a set of still images that advance in time with a music track rather than a recorded video. The app plays them like a video, but the page is serving photographs and an audio file, not one video file.
Analyze reports what the page actually holds, so a slideshow does not come back as a single tidy video row the way an ordinary post does. If a post behaves oddly here, check whether it is images set to music before you conclude something went wrong.
TikToks that will not open here
An empty result is an answer about the post rather than a fault in the tool.
- The creator set the account or the post to private. Vidzilla reads pages as a visitor with nobody signed in, so a private post is closed to it.
- The post was deleted, by the creator or by the platform. A file that is no longer served cannot be retrieved by any downloader.
- The link points at a profile, a hashtag feed, a sound page, or search results. None of those has one file behind it.
- The platform is briefly refusing automated requests. Wait a short while and analyze the same address again.
Save what you have the right to save
Your own posts are yours to keep. Material you hold a licence for is yours within the terms of that licence. Anything else needs the creator's permission, and asking is quick.
Vidzilla has no relationship with TikTok and cannot grant permission on a creator's behalf. Reading a public page does not change who owns the video. Nothing here strips a watermark or alters the file: what you download is the file the page was serving.
Questions about saving a TikTok video
I pasted a link to someone's account and nothing came back. Why?
A profile address stands for every video that person has posted, so there is no single file to save. Open one video, tap the share arrow, choose Copy link, and paste that address instead.
Can I save a video from a private account?
No. Vidzilla reads the page with nobody signed in, so a private account's posts are closed to it in the same way they are closed to any visitor who does not follow that person.
The video was deleted after I saw it. Can it still be recovered?
No. Once the post is gone, the platform stops serving the file, and there is nothing left on the page for Analyze to read.
Why does a slideshow post behave differently from a normal one?
A slideshow is a set of still images played against a music track rather than a recorded video, so the page is serving photographs and audio instead of one video file. The results reflect what is really there.
Does Vidzilla remove the TikTok watermark?
No. You receive the file the page is serving, unchanged. Whatever marking the source burned into the picture stays in the picture.
Where does the file end up when I download on my phone?
Wherever your mobile browser saves downloads, which is your device storage or the Files app. On a computer it lands in your Downloads folder.
